Grandma’s Wild Rice Hot Dish with a Kick

Grandmas Wild Rice








This is my Grandmother’s Wild Rice Hot Dish with a few slight modifications to give it a kick. I recommend this dish for the winter when you are fighting off a cold as it will bite back. For a mild version skip the jalapeno. Note: you can also add two diced chicken breast to the dish and it will cook along with rice if you want meat included. 


1 Box Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice

1 Can light Cream of Mushroom soup

2 Cans of water (use empty soup can for measuring)

1 Red pepper – diced

1 Large jalapeno – diced


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a glass baking pan mix all ingredients well.

Bake for 1 hour or until moisture is absorbed.

Stir every 15 minutes to ensure rice is cooked completely and to prevent burning around edges.
